To Provide a sense of Family for those whose hope has faded, whose pains are great, whose troubles are many, whose allies are few, or who walk alone in their battle against a world full of evil.
To Show Christ’s Love, Comfort, and Grace to those who have lost their way or felt out of place due to their struggles (addiction, loneliness, depression, anxiety, etc.).
To Teach the Word from the Bible and help those to learn life application.
To Pray for all to find a life of peace and have a true Resurrection
of their Life in the gathering of like-minded souls who believe
Jesus is their Lord and Savior.
Pastor Jay C. Cheek
Associate Pastor Leine Cheek
Pastor Jay, was born in 1968 in Mississippi. Pastor Jay joined the U.S. Marines in 1986 and remained active duty until 1989. Pastor Jay had a career in the home security business for many years in Mississippi, Chicago, and Florida. Pastor Jay’s fascination with motorcycles began at an early age riding dirt bikes and racing enduro, hare scrambles, and motocross. He is a lifelong biker and a blues rock musician, still occasionally riding his Harley and playing guitar for his congregation.
Associate Pastor Leine was born in 1958 in south Louisiana. She had a career as a prosthetist from 2003 to 2013. She now enjoys spending time working with glass and creating stained-glass. Pastor Jay and Associate Pastor Leine have been together since 2005, and have been married for 15 years.

Pastor Jay’s calling into ministry began in 2011, wherein he returned to college, obtaining his Degree in Pastoral Ministry in early 2014. He began witnessing and preaching in 2012 within his biker family, and volunteering with the Kairos prison ministry in his home state of Mississippi. Pastors Jay and Leine Cheek founded this church ministry in Citra, Florida in March of 2014.
Get to Know Our Church
Resurrected Life Church was founded in March of 2014, by Pastor Jay Cheek and his Wife, Leine Cheek. This Bible-based church ministry began as a church for those who didn't fit in to traditional church settings, felt left out or let down due to their life struggles. Resurrected Life Church opened its doors to anyone looking for a family of like-minded, non-judgmental people who were learning to love each other for who they were and where they were at in Life, not who they had to come to be in order to be accepted. Resurrected Life Church emphasizes in learning to love ones self as Jesus loves us, no matter where we have been or what we have done.
Through the years the dynamics of the congregation has varied from bikers to loners, to single parent families, to those who have struggled with addiction, and lost faith in trusting others, and in some cases, even God. Resurrected Life Church is an all-inclusive group of brothers and sisters in Christ, learning how to find the love of Christ within and learning to accept and love themselves, like Christ does. We seek to lead all people to a relationship with God, and a family and community to share that love with.
As pastor, Pastor Jay also leads Wed night Bible study and one-on-one counseling. In 2021 Leine was appointed as the associate pastor, and now leads Sunday school, women's ministry, and individual counseling. She also participates in the church choir and Christmas programs.
